At Neufeld Legal PC, we understand the challenges associated with meeting with a lawyer at the law firm's offices. As such, we provide evening home appointments for those who require the service, be it for busy working adults, those with young families, and the elderly and infirm. This can substantially eliminate the difficulties associated with completing one's last will & testament and other associated estate planning documents.

Home visits are often more practical for couples and families, but unfortunately come with additional legal cost due to the associated travel time (taking note that home appointment travel fees are in addition to legal fees associated with estate planning). As such, we look to schedule meetings in the evening where possible, where travel is easier and doesn't interfere with the regular business day (and where our schedule allows, we undertake weekend meetings). As such, weekday meetings scheduled for 7pm or later incur a travel rate of $150 per hour (plus applicable taxes and disbursements, including parking and gas) for both directions, and multiplied by 1.5 where one of our legal assistants is also required to attend (i.e. to serve as a witness for the signing of legal documents). For weekdays prior to 7pm and weekends, where our schedule permits, our travel rate is $250 per hour (plus applicable taxes and disbursements, including parking and gas) for both directions. Standard legal rates are charged while at your home, with our standard rate being $400 per hour - however, please call for specifics. Travel times can be impacted by accidents, rush hour traffic, etc. Please note that in all events, meetings are dependent upon our pre-existing schedule, such that we are unable to make any pre-assurances.
